Murray lives and works in New York City. Her work has been exhibited in New York City, London, Paris, Vienna, Barcelona, Cannes, Venice, Bahamas and Hamptons. “Living in New York City for 18 years, I never cease to be mesmerized by the juxtaposition between the peaceful sky and the hustle and bustle of the concrete jungle below. The mirrored sky-scrapers scattered across the city reflect these two worlds, blending them together, creating a portal between the two. Through the medium of light, etching, drawing and mixed media I explore this synthesis. I choose materials and subject matter that oppose each other, for example: Beauty - Danger; Geometric - Organic; Fantasy – Reality; Soft - Hard. What fascinated me is the conversation between these opposing forces, the space where interpretation can breath, shift and address the complexities of life.”
